Hampshire Cricket Heritage Ltd. acquired the following historic document:

Dated 24 March 2019
We have recently received some very interesting materials and artefacts, which we are beginning to sort out and organise for the Archive and for display:
.
1. A collection of memorabilia from Derek Shackleton including signed bats, inscribed balls, blazers, caps, photographs and press cuttings. After the World Cup we will display some of these in the two cabinets in the Shackleton Bar.

Ball from Weston-Super-Mare 1955 when he took 8-4 & 6-25 (Hampshire won)
.

England cap from West Indies series in 1963
.

Meeting Duke of Edinburgh at Canterbury August Bank Holiday, 1949. (L-R) Eagar & Arnold (both part hidden), Rogers, Gilbert Dawson, Harrison, ‘Shack’, Cliff Walker, Dick Carty. Shack took 4-74 but we lost by an innings and he was the third victim in a Doug Wright hat-trick.
.
2. A large collection of photographs and other documents about the building and earliest days of the Ageas Bowl, going back over 20 years (how time flies!). We have a growing digital photo archive, and when we have managed to sort through these, they will be added to that collection.

Building work circa 1998/9
